Ride with
the Pros

Because even if you’re not racing
you’re always competing.
See the Bikes

Competition takes many forms. So even if you’re not contending for a place on the podium, you’re always competing—against the hills, the wind, even your friends. And you’re always competing against yourself. See why serious riders around the world think their Gerard Cycles bikes give them the edge, no matter what kind of ride they take on.

From Our Founder

I grew up as a child in Dublin, Ireland. At the age of six I began exhibiting symptoms of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, which defined my life for many years. While my friends ran around playing games, I found it difficult to even walk. Ironically, the one thing I could do like everyone else was ride my bike. On the bike I was free. On the bike I felt normal.

Racing around the streets of Dublin I found a freedom I greatly cherished. At the age of 14 I started a revolutionary treatment that put the disease in remission and by the age of 18 I was in love with bike racing. From there I used my childhood illness as extra motivation to see how far I could go, eventually turning my early pain and suffering into a successful and rewarding professional racing career. I look back on those days with gratitude for everything cycling has given me and through Gerard Cycles I hope to pass it on.
