Local rides:
Beginning in March, we will be starting up again our Wednesday night R&D (Ride & Drink) rides.
We meet at the Gerard Cycles headquarters located at 107 6th Street S, Kirkland at 5:00PM. We head over to the SR 520 Overlook at Evergreen Point Road to meet additional riders at 5:30PM. From there, the group rides over the 520 Bridge and does a loop of Magnolia via the Fremont District. The group typically stops at either the Fremont Brewery or Q20 (in the QFC) in Kirkland to grab a quick drink and chat before heading home.
Gerard Cycles will begin our Saturday rides on March 23rd. This ride will start at 10:00AM at the Gerard Cycles headquarters. The route is via Seattle Hill Road and we stop Snohomish Bakery at First&Union for coffee and a treat. The ride is 47 miles round trip.
Road trips:
On April 20th, we will be participating in the Sea Otter Gran Fondo in California.
In the summer, we will do a day ride to San Juan Islands. We carpool to Anacortes and take the ferry to Friday Harbor. We ride counter clockwise stopping for whale watching at the Lime Kiln Point State Park.
In August, we will be headed to Bend, Oregon for a road trip including a visit to Crater Lake. The specific dates to be determined.
Everyone is welcome to join us. It is always fun and a great way to meet other cyclists.
